Although I am dying inside I am crying. Alas like a river that flows, no more green grass will grow.
Green as life would ever be. Blue as the days come too. Grey, no longer happiness to say. White I will become because red will be dead.
Time stands still towards the end. Every precious moment becomes a blend. Like a weight upon your chest and when it falls off so do you. Released from the abode your soul knew so well, floating away with the days of yore. Bon voyage, so long, farewell.
We come ashore when we are born, the sea is vast to all. We go embark on our last journey in mortality, the ocean is always in motion no matter where we go. The waves that wash ashore and out to sea are the memories we leave behind in others. From mothers we came, in fathers we remain. The children we leave behind are the fruit picked to breed the world as we ourselves are hurled into oblivion.
Only one place stands to mind. A belief we take heart in, and thought as well. A land beyond the land of living, beyond our mortal shell. A land that keeps on giving, yet has no ground and only sky. And clouds so high that's where heaven lies they say. A place to rest, a place to pray.
Alas one last journey away.
