Facepunch Fixer in Chrome with OffiDocs
Facepunch Fixer Chrome web store extension
DESCRIPTION:
Run the Chrome online web store extension Facepunch Fixer using OffiDocs Chromium online.
Every piece of functionality is now an option that can be enabled/disabled from the options page.Media in quoted posts that was embedded in the original post will now be embedded in the quote.
There is more than likely an error with this somewhere, but I haven't found any yet.
Can definitely cause some weird formatting.
Works (usually) for: <img> tags, <video> tags, Tweets, Youtube videos, Facebook Videos, Imgur .
gifv, and Imgur Albums.
There may be some weird image or video format it doesn't cover but those cases should be rare.
Stop videos from looping by default.
Only works on <video> tags, embedded media like Twitter posts are unaffected.
Removes links from the entire row for a thread/subforum, and makes only the title of the thread/subforum take you to it.
The "Unread" tag now takes you to the new posts, and the title will always take you to the first page, just like on Oldpunch.
Remove duplicate alerts for new posts in a thread you follow.
Only the most recent alert pointing to a particular thread will be visible.
Alerts for replies to your posts and giving you coins are unaffected.
IMPORTANT UPDATE The extension now saves some data about your browsing history on Facepunch.
Specifically it saves the names of the threads you've visited, the last time you visited them, and the furthest page you've viewed in each thread.
More detail and the reason for this is below, but you can disable this by right-clicking on the extension icon and selecting "Disable Saving Viewed Threads".
Doing this at any time will stop new threads you view from being saved and erase any data the extension has already saved.
This option is disabled by default for new installs.
The most recent post section for each subforum on the homepage will now take you to the first unread post, if you've viewed the thread since installing this extension (or since this update if you had it before now).
Unfortunately, you need the page number of the first unread post in order to jump to it, and that information isn't available on the homepage at time of writing.
The extension now keeps its own list of threads you've viewed and the last page you viewed of that thread in order to take you to the first unread post.
It can't find threads you've already read unless you visit them with this extension installed, but given enough time it'll work just like the unread posts system the forum uses.
It wont keep more than 100 viewed threads stored and it will remove threads that haven't been viewed within a month.
The subforum fix can be disabled, reverting it to how it's currently done on the new site, where clicking anywhere on the entire row will take you to the subforum.
The main feature, enabling the thread titles and "Unread" tags to be clickable, cannot be disabled.
