Hiroshige adopts a bird\u2019s-eye view of the planes surrounding Mt. Fuji in order to provide a sense of the vastness of the landscape and of the mountain\u2019s stately presence. The title on this extremely rare print reads Suzushiga, or \u201cCool Picture,\u201d a reference to the effect created by Hiroshige\u2019s use of an all-blue palette.
