In addition to writing diaries, members of the Bronze Age Settlements and Landscapes of Bodmin Moor Project were asked to produce photos "in order to elicit a more intimate visual sense of place". As with the diaries, few of these ever saw the light of day. This previously unseen photograph was conceived of by excavator Dan King and photographed by photographer Jeremy Stafford-Deitsch. It shows Dan, in double exposure, seated on the Leskernick quoit with the ridge of the hill, Brown Willy, in the background, Dan's aim being to "get across my idea of our transitory nature within the landscape, here one minute, gone the next". My own photo, which showed members of my team, and most of the others have disappeared without trace.
This particular photo came to me in very poor condition and I have restored it.
