These files were released by Videoplasty (videoplasty.com) on Wikimedia Commons with a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. (proof) This license is irrevocable. They were warned about uploading their content and the potential damage to their business, but they proceeded anyway. They also provided permission to the Commons OTRS team who have verified they are the copyright holder of the content, in the position to release it with said license and were fully understanding what they were doing. Unfortunately, after reaping the search engine ranking rewards and generally getting their name out there for over 4 months, they decided to push for deletion of their files. Just in case their files actually are deleted, this archive is provided for re-users to prove they have the right to use the files with the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 license. All the file pages are also available through archive.org as usual and show the OTRS permission.

Update (November 2018): Wikimedia Commons made a community decision to reduce the resolution of the animations to find some middle ground with Videoplasty. Wikimedia Commons has a very high Google ranking, so regardless of anyone who would have copied the files (like this pack), Videoplasty was satisfied with this as it made the higher resolution files more difficult to find.

This doesn't change the fact that the Creative Commons license is irrevocable and any users who have access to the original files (that includes you, because you are reading this..) can continue to use, re-use, re-mix and distribute the files just like they were. You can tell the original resolution by looking at the archived file page, for example: Alarm Clock GIF Animation.gif where you see "400 \u00d7 225 (1.37 MB)". On the current pages, the resolution is lower and the uploader is not Videoplasty, because community members scaled the animations down and admins hid the higher resolution Videoplasty revision. Once more: Creative Commons licenses cannot be revoked, you can use all the files in this pack as you wish, provided you comply with the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 license.
