I want to fade away and be a flower in a field. To die away without the protection of my shield. To throw away my fighting sword and lay on the ground and go. To grow into something more than life you know.
Forever a flower, lost from any power. With petals and stem, and no one to condemn. To breathe the fresh air, to root among the earth that brought birth, and to bask in the light and rain from sun and sky.
And yet I'm just a flower in the attic. Covered in dust and gloom, forever lost and doomed. Though, through the light of the yonder window I see a field of flowers, and in my sad hours I dream away to die then lie in the beauty of that bed, buried to my flowery head.
