Other performers include Don Redman (1900-1964), alto sax; Mancy Carr (1899-1946), banjo; Jimmy Strong (1906-1940), clarinet & tenor sax; Zatty Singleton (1898-1975), drums; and Fred Robinson (1901-1984), trombone. Tracks 1 - 4: Louis Armstrong and The Savoy Ballroom Five. Tracks 5 & 6: Louis Armstrong and His Orchestra. Tracks 7 -12: Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five. All recordings date from 1928 and were originally issued as 78's. This compilation was issued in 1951 and this record is a 1956 reissue. Transfer from the Columbia mono LP CL 853 by Bob Varney.
