a family abandoned by a drunkard father, leaving behind thousands in gambling debts for an already impoverished household to deal with. angelo works two jobs on top of schoolwork to keep on top of bills, save for the future, and put his mother's mind at ease. he goes to a private school by merit alone; striving to become a doctor, even if it's not a dream he wants to chase.

an unholy creature of the night; the fear of the royal family & noble homes. the corvus family has long since stood by the king's lineage; though often for their own benefit. they are long lived creatures, controlling their lands & political climate with trickery and cunning. no one is to trust the creatures that rise only in the night, never should they trust them.
his many years spent in the royal castle leave him with an odd friendship; the young lord angelo & the crown prince who would one day be king. they are raised knowing their places, one destined for greatness and the other bound to glory in the shadows. being friends is not in their role; not what their families wish of them, yet they befriend each other anyway before being separated for many years. as adults they reunite; angelo a tactician chosen for his merit and quick thinking on the field, ready to serve the crown prince in a war for glory for their dying country.
