Original comic script

Panel 1: The first thing we see is a bloody sink. There\u2019s
blood on the counters, all around the spigot, and flowing
down into the drain.

Panel 2: A (male) nurse walks into the doctors\u2019 surgical
preparation room, where Lady Macbeth is washing her hands.
She has blood on her hands and on her Elizabethan-period
dress, which she wears under her white doctor\u2019s coat.

\t@Nurse
\t\t> We\u2019re ready whenever you are, Doctor.

\t@Lady Macbeth
\t\t> \u2026Yet here\u2019s a spot.
\t\tOut, damned spot! out, I say!

Panel 3: The nurse looks a little puzzled, concerned. Lady
Macbeth is intensely focused on her hands. She\u2019s covered in
a bit more blood.

\t@Lady Macbeth
\t\t> Hell is murky!

\t@Nurse
\t\t> Doctor Macbeth?

\t@Lady Macbeth
\t\t> Fie, my lord, fie! \u2014 Yet who
\t\twould have thought the old man
\t\tto have had so much blood in him.

Panel 4: The nurse begins to back away toward the door
again. Lady Macbeth turns and glares at him. She has blood
all over her front, and her arms all the way up to the elbows.

\t\t> Are you\u2026 okay?

\t@Lady Macbeth
\t\t> No more o\u2019 that, my lord, no more
\t\to\u2019 that: you mar all with this
\t\tstarting. Here\u2019s the smell of the
\t\tblood still: all the perfumes of
\t\tArabia will not sweeten this little
\t\thand. Oh, oh, oh!

Panel 5: The nurse and Lady Macbeth are now walking out of
the prep room, Lady Macbeth storming, the nurse nervously
trailing after her. She has seized one of his hands with
one of her still-bloody hands as they walk; with his free
hand, the nurse points behind them. Lady Macbeth\u2019s torso
is covered in blood, with some flecked up around her neck
and face, and she\u2019s dripping as they go.

\t\t> There\u2019s knocking at the gate:
\t\tcome, come, come, come,
\t\tgive me your hand.
\t\tWhat\u2019s done cannot be undone.

\t@Nurse
\t\t> Um, but the patient is this way\u2026
