Stone carved lettering on the base of the Abraham Lincoln statue, located on the south-east lawn of San Francisco City Hall. Of interest because of the extreme kerning of the letter pairs, such as TI, OF, TH, LI, LN and others not shown in this picture. The stone cutter is not known, however the bronze sculpture itself is by Armenian American artist Haig Patigian. Installed in 1927, replacing one by Pietro Mezarra that was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
