Run this on a Chrome Box running as a Kiosk and it will keep the "system" awake but does not manage the display.

Now, you can manage display on/off within your Kiosk app, however the system will always stay on, thus allowing you to put your kiosk app on a schedule for night time on the schedule of your choice.
