A frontal image of a Maya Sun god (Kinich Ahau) face is worked in low relief in exceptional green jade. The face has a figure-eight shaped mouth with no visible teeth, wide flat nose, and large, crossed-eyes. A raised Ahau (Lord) glyph appears in the forehead. There are ears (jaguar) on each side of the head, consistent with Kinich Ahau imagery. The deity face overall is framed on three sides with headdress elements. Visible on the edges of the front are five tiny holes that originally held ornaments. Prominent horizotal suspension holes are present on the back of the pendant where it was strung through for attachment to either a chest collar or a headdress. Along the bottom in back are five right-angle holes for further ornaments or dangles.
