This silk tapestry, with its design of a dragon among flowers and leaves, was woven as a book cover for an essay written by the Qianlong emperor called Yubi chuangye shoucheng nan yi shuo (An Essay on the Difficulty and Ease of Founding and Maintaining a Dynasty, Written by the Emperor).
