Details the formation of the Russian-American Industrial Corporation (RAIC), brainchild of Sidney Hillman of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. The company capitalized with sale of shares of $10 stock to sympathetic trade union members, many of whom were Jews who had been forced by Tsarist anti-semitism to leave Russia for America.
