On April 25, 2016, I posted a blog to JennyAtLAX ("Reconnecting the Disconnected and Declared: Lockdown at PAC Base!"), the result of a protest conducted against the Church of Scientology. This is the first paragraph of that blog:"This is Photojournalist Fred G. Haseney with his eye on scientology. Today, I\u2019ve conducted a very special visit to the Pacific Area Command Base (\u201cPAC Base\u201d or \u201cBig Blue\u201d), the so-called \u201cchurch\u201d of scientology\u2019s West Coast headquarters. I did so upon the invitation of former scientologist (and former Sea Org member) Cece Marie Gangle Smith. Another former scientologist, Lynn Fountain Campbell, joined us after getting an invite from Cece. Today\u2019s blog is part of the \u201cReconnecting the Disconnected and Declared\u201d series."
I posted about 33 photos to that blog, but there were about 99 pictures taken that day. Here are all the photos as shot that day, from the moment I met Cece and Lynn, to the lockdown at Scientology's Advanced Organization of Los Angeles, to the moments that followed that lockdown.
