This dataset consists of still frames taken one per second from the 267 distinct advertisements in with MPEG video files in the Political TV Ad Archive as of February 3, 2016. Each advertisement was run through the "ffmpeg" utility using "ffmpeg -i ./VIDEO.MP4 -r 1 frames%d.jpg" loading="lazy" to create a sequence of still frames, one per second, representing the video, allowing it to be analyzed using deep learning image recognition algorithms.
