To use this Install CD, you must have
an Intel x86-based computer with at least
32 MB of RAM, and at least 350 MB (for a minimal
installation) or 1.8 GB (for a typical installation) free
space on your hard disk. Your computer
must also be configured to boot from a CD

Use this CD if you want to install Ubuntu on
your computer. To install Ubuntu, put the CD
in the CD drive, turn on or restart the computer,
and follow instructions on the screen.

The default installation will erase all existing
software and data from your computer. However
an expert installation mode is available. If you
want to keep your existing files alongside Ubuntu,
follow the instructions carefully during installation.

To use this Live CD, you must have
an Intel-based computer with at least
128 MB of RAM. Your computer must be configured
to boot from a CD. Note that a Live CD is much
slower than a fully installed Ubuntu system,
but allows you to test Ubuntu without affecting
your existing software.

This CD contains a test Ubuntu system
that you can try safely without altering
any of the files on your computer.
To try Ubuntu, put the CD in the CD drive,
and turn on or restart your computer.

The CD also contains Windows versions
of some of the programs included in Ubuntu.
To try these programs, put the CD in
the drive while Windows is running.
