The Lato font family is available as a free download under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The fonts can be used without any limitations for commercial and non-commercial purposes. They can be also freely modified if the terms of the license are observed.
Lato is a sans serif typeface household began inside the summer season of 2010 by Warsaw-based designer Lukasz Dziedzic (“Lato” indicates “Summer” in Polish). In December 2010 the Lato loved ones was published under the Open Font License by his foundry tyPoland, with help from Google.
