Reaching out into the heavens
standing cold & still,
only the stars give life to that silent mass,
rising from the hill.
For it was built of earth
and will return to earth,
stones crumbling with age.
With only the night showing all its beauty.
Beauty that will last forever in my mind,
until the end of my time,
my time to be with the earth.
