Will the photo of this mountain outlast the mountain itself? Might a copy of the Internet Archive containing this photo survive long after the mountain has been flattened?

Year after year of raindrops and snow storms will eventually erode the mountain to nothing. A chance catastrophe or long term neglect will someday cause the Internet Archive to join the Library of Alexandria as one of humanity's lost caches of cultural knowledge. But which eventuality will come first? Might some copy of the Internet Archive outlast this mountain?

I hope so. For if the Internet Archive outlasts this mountain, that will be a positive statement about humanity's own longevity as a species, and of our abilities to work together to share the records of our times with those many generations removed from us.
